DECEMBER, 2009

As the year comes to a close, please join together in prayer for those who have lost loved ones during 2009. The Loyola Community has suffered the loss of very special people in our lives - alumni, benefactors, friends and family members of LCS staff and students. Sadly, during Christmas break, two students at Loyola suffered the loss of their father, and another student lost his grandfather. PLEASE keep them - and others who have suffered loss - in your prayers.

Loyola students wrapped and presented the Christmas Basket Project gifts at a special Mass celebration Friday, and the gifts are now on the way to their intended families. Thank you to all who have made Christmas special this year for the various recipients of this program. The tradition continues! A KEYC special news report, no longer available online, aired this month about the Loyola program and the shoppers!

Congratulations to first grade teacher Mrs. Jan Willaert, who received the Bethany / KEYC-TV "Golden Apple Award" this month! KEYC interviewed Mrs. Willaert and her first grade class for a special feature on the news, which is no longer available online.
